Viridescent Runway: Walking the Path of Sustainability
Message from the organizers, Arnih, Xiaozhu, Sidhya, Ilsa, Nandini, Timothy, and Eric, the students from Newport High School:
We are excited to have you attend Viridescent Runway and support our cause! This is a student-lead event aimed at raising awareness for sustainable fashion especially designers and brands that commit to eco-conscious practices locally. The name, Viridescent, embodies our hope for the fashion industry as Latin for becoming green.
We set the scene at Bellevue College’s Carlson Theatre on the night of 1/7/2024 from 7-9 PM PT. Come and enjoy a theatrical, fashionable and charitable start to your new year. We will be showcasing collections generously given by Prairie Underground and Janelle Abbott in Runway style with some dramatic twists.
Our Program
6:30-7:00 PM Come and experience a celebrity entrance into the theatre, where photographers will be taking in every moment of your “red” carpet walk.
7:00-7:15 PM Opening!
7:15-7:45 PM Witness collections from Prairie Underground
7:45-8:10 PM Entertainment! Enjoy Newport High School’s Cover and Choreography Club’s exciting performance
8:10-8:40 PM Witness collections from Janelle Abbott
8:40-8:50 PM Last collection of the day: a Collaboration between Prairie Underground and Janelle Abbott!
8:50-9:00 PM Closing! Appreciation of our Top Donators

All tickets prices afterwards will be $5 more, with exception to Bellevue College (BC) staff and student in gratitude to providing the venue for the event using the coupon code: viridescentbc.
